Owners will have the option to exchange players and draft picks during the trade window that will be made available by the commissioner. As long as both parties come to an agreement with no foul play, the trade will be approved. All trades are immediately processed. The commissioner will inspect the trade for any potential trade violations, as long as none are found, the trade will stand.
All trades will be reviewed by the commissioner to make sure no foul play is occurring. If any owners are suspected of accepting bribes/offering bribes to enhance their/another owner’s team via trade, they will be susceptible to punishment. The punishments will go as follows:
First Offense – Loss of ALL draft picks in following Rookie Draft.
Second Offense – Removal from the league.
All trades that are found guilty of collusion will be reversed/denied. If the trade had affected the outcome of previous games, the results of those games will be revised.
Commissioners can reverse and deny trades at any time if they feel it is necessary to keep the league’s integrity.
The first offense will stay on your record for three seasons before having a clean slate.
The trading market only closes after the deadline and during the playoffs. After the season, the market is back open. The trade deadline is Week 11.
You cannot trade draft picks for seasons for which you have not paid dues. This goes for the team sending the trade. Once you paid the dues, you can do whatever you want with your draft picks. You can still receive draft picks via trade even if you haven’t paid dues yet, as long as the person sending the picks has paid their dues. This ensures everyone's commitment to the league and provides fair and precise ground rules. The way I see it, once you pay your dues, you own those draft picks and can do whatever you want with them.
The commissioners will review each for foul play/collusion. If foul play is suspected, the commissioner will bring it to the league to review the trade and conclude whether to pass or deny the trade.Collusion or making an illegal trade is the only reason why a trade would get overturned. There will never be a league voting style trade veto process. ?
The waiver wire will begin immediately after the draft. We use the Free Agent Auction Budget (FAAB) system.
Each owner will receive $100 of FAAB money after the draft. Owners will have the ability to trade FAAB money. You can trade the current FAAB but cannot go negative. FAAB will carry over from year to year, with a max cap of $10000. The cap can be changed before any season pending a majority vote at the annual owners’ meeting.
There are 2 Conferences made up of 6 teams each. The reason for this is because we like to mimic the NFL wherever we can, and to foster natural rivalries in our league. In other words, it’s for fun. Divisions/Conferences are subject to growth or shrinking as the league does, and can be brought to the league's attention at the yearly owners’ meeting.
At the end of each season, the commissioner will set a deadline for the following season's league fee of $50. The owner is expected to pay this fee by the deadline, or they will be subject to losing ownership of their team.
If you would like to sell the ownership of your team, you will be responsible for finding someone interested in purchasing it. Once you have found someone interested, you will present them to the league, and we will vote as a whole to pass or deny their purchasing of the team. Being a part of this league is exclusive, and not just anyone will be allowed to join.
The owners can vote to remove any owner from the league at any time. As long as they feel this owner is ruining the integrity of the league, and they can provide acceptable evidence (This is up to the commissioner’s interpretation). If any owner is removed, it will fall on the commissioner to replace said owner. If an owner is removed before the start of the rookie draft, and/or any season that they have paid dues for and have not traded draft picks, they will receive a refund. If it accrues during the fantasy season, after the rookie draft, or if the owner trades away draft picks for any season that they have paid for, they will not get a refund. The fantasy season starts once the league draft is completed.
If an owner is removed in the middle of the fantasy season, it will fall on the commissioner to manage the said team until a new owner is found. No roster transactions will be allowed to occur with this team until a new owner is found.
New rules and regulations can be brought to the owners' attention each season at the league owners meeting. All rules and regulations will be voted on and must receive a majority vote for approval. A majority vote is classified as more than 50%. If you do not attend a vote, do not vote within the set time frame, or choose not to vote, your vote will not count as a yes or no.
The first-place winner of the league will receive a grand prize of $350. The runner-up will receive $150. The third-place finisher will receive $50. The remaining $50 goes to the winner of the King of the Hill tournament.
Well, that’s simple. The King of the Hill Tournament is a Hall of Fame qualifier (more on this later), a game within the game, survival of the fittest... King of the Hill is a last team standing game where each team tries to outlast the others by outscoring them. Each week, strikes are issued to the league based on points – the lower your team total points are, the more you risk getting a strike. Yes, just like baseball, three strikes and you're out. The last man standing is dubbed the ‘King of the Hill’, wins $50, and is awarded 1 point towards the GTFL Hall of Fame.
To become a member in the GTFL Hall of Fame you must meet the following requirements:
Here are the following ways to earn points towards the Hall of Fame:
Amended 2026
What does this mean? This means setting your lineup to that you believe will score you the absolute most points possible. Sometimes it’s as simple as starting your studs. Ex: Patrick Mahomes in my QB1 slot, a no brainer.
But sometimes it’s a little more intricate. Sometimes you look at matchups and think that your WR4 can do better than your WR2. Even though he might be projected to have less points, the matchup may just be a bit more juicy, and that’s understandable. This is where the tiny bit of skill comes into play in fantasy football.
This isn’t necessarily an anti-Tanking rule. Tanking is perfectly fine IF you do it properly.
If your team is middle of the pack, or bottom of the barrel, and you're setting your best lineups every week while still losing, maybe you might decide to tank to get higher draft lottery odds. But how do you do it without breaking the competitive lineup law?
Illegal tanking is taking your best players out of your lineups and starting backups, inactive players, or injured players in their spot. This violates our anti-competitive laws.
The proper way to tank is to continue to set your best possible lineup, and if it’s bad enough, you might continue to lose, or you can sell your best players in order to gain more draft capital and/or lesser players to help captain your tanking squad.
If you are super unlucky and all your choices for players are inactive or injured, you are NOT required to drop players in order to pick up healthy/available players. You built your team how you like it and will not be punished for having bad luck.
Final note on tanking, the draft order is determined by Max Points For, so even if you took out all your best players from your lineup, their points would still count towards your Max PF. There’s no hiding from that. So, continue to set your best possible lineups, sell players if you need to, and watch your ship sink all the way to the #1 pick.
Happy tanking, my friends.
Starting with the 2026 Rookie Draft, we will transition away from the lottery system to a more standard NFL style draft. The draft order will be determined by Reverse Max Points For (Max PF). Meaning that the manager with the lowest Max PF will get the 1.01, inversely the manager with the highest Max PF will get the 1.12. This is the most fair way to handle the rookie draft going forward.
Draft-day trades are allowed and very much encouraged. This is a dynasty league, after all.
The draft date will start right around the conclusion of the official NFL draft. It will be a five-round draft, including ROOKIES only. Each pick will have an 8-hour timer, with the time pausing between the hours of 0100 and 0600. This allows ample time for owners to trade, scheme, or plan each pick. The draft is so long before the season starts that there will be no worry of running out of time. The draft can go as fast or slow as the owners make it. All of this, of course, is subject to change, should we ever decide to do an in person draft or have to delay it for any reason.
We play in a 12-team, SuperFlex, Points Per Reception (PPR) league with a TE Premium of 1PPR.
The league scoring system breakdown is listed on the Sleeper fantasy app.
At the end of the regular season, 7 teams will make the playoffs. Each team that wins their division and the 4 wild card teams that finish with the best records will receive a playoff berth. The team that finishes with the overall best record will receive a bye-week headed into the playoffs. Each round lasts one week, and the winners move on to the next round.
At the end of the regular season, the 5 teams that did not make the playoffs will compete in the Battle of the Turds, the worst of the worst, the Toilet Bowl. This is a consolation bracket featuring the 8th-12th ranked teams. Winners advance to the next round. The winner of the Toilet Bowl will get a comp pick at the end of the 3rd round of the Rookie Draft.
If two teams tie in the playoffs, the playoff tiebreaker will be the higher seed. I don’t make the rules. Check out Sleeper for more info:
If two teams finish with the same record, the tiebreakers will go as follows:
If it is still tied after that, it is up to the commissioner to manually decide the tiebreaker. It could be a coin toss, it could be H2H matchups. Hopefully, we don’t get to that point. The reason we have a median is to combat stuff like this.
This league operates on collaborative principles with owner input valued and encouraged, particularly during annual owners' meetings. Core structural elements (scoring settings, roster structure) were established when I made the league and will require a supermajority vote (67%+) to change, ensuring stability for long term planning.
The commissioner serves as facilitator and rule enforcer, with authority to:
I have only a few expectations for each of you. This is a competitive league designed to last us decades if everyone is willing. You ARE NOT obligated to trade away your players or picks. It is highly encouraged to be willing to trade, but if you want to keep your players until they wither away, so be it. I get that not everyone can be able to check Sleeper 24/7. I understand that we all have responsibilities. However, you ARE obligated to at least be semi-active. What does that mean? That means checking the app occasionally to accept/deny/counter trade requests so you don’t hold up the other party waiting on you, setting your goddamn lineups every week, and for the love of god, hop in the chat and talk to us. Talk your shit. You don’t want to trade players? That's okay. But why are you paying $50 each year just to be a bot in this league? If it becomes a problem for others in the league, you can be removed by majority vote. Some examples that might trigger a league vote are: Failing to set a valid lineup 5+ times per season, ignoring trade offers for more than 72 hours repeatedly, or complete absence from league communications for an entire season. Just don’t be a robot is literally all that I ask.
I love this league, and I hope that you do too. I want this league to last decades, and I have invested a few hundred dollars of my own money to make it a more enjoyable experience for you all. If you read my policy, and my expectations and are unable to fulfill that or simply don’t want to play anymore, please let me know. I won’t hold any grudges against you. All I ask is that you inform me ahead of time so that I can find a replacement.
